We provided players with strategic (long-term) tactical (short-term) situations asked for choices, further candidate moves, best choice. divided participants into three groups expertise. Results indicate chess at lower skill levels were more vulnerable in tactics than strategy, especially under time pressure. Masters scored better near-experts intuitive final decisions, whereas profited from time, masters did not. This finding implies is both boundedly ecologically rational.
